Employment Visas
Employment-based visas allow foreign nationals to work temporarily or permanently in the U.S. These visas are typically sponsored by a U.S. employer and are divided into several categories based on the type of work, skill level, and length of stay.
Common employment visas include:
- H-1B Visa. For skilled workers in specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree or higher, often used in tech, engineering, and healthcare.
- L-1 Visa. This visa is for intra-company transferees who work for a multinational company and are relocating to a U.S. office.
- O Visa. This is for individuals with extraordinary scientific, artistic, educational, business, or athletic abilities.
- TN Visa. Available to Canadian and Mexican professionals under the USMCA (formerly NAFTA).
Each employment visa has eligibility criteria, documentation requirements, and numerical limits. Our knowledgeable immigration attorneys can help you determine the best category for your qualifications and guide your employer through the petition process.
Student Visas
Foreign nationals who wish to study in the U.S. must apply for a student visa.
The two most common types are:
- F-1 Visa. For full-time students enrolled in an academic program at a U.S. institution.
- M-1 Visa. This is for students attending vocational or non-academic programs, such as trade schools.
To qualify for a student visa, applicants must first be accepted by a U.S. institution certified by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP). They must also demonstrate sufficient financial resources to cover tuition and living expenses and maintain a residence abroad they intend to return to after their studies.
We assist students in completing visa applications, preparing for consular interviews, and staying compliant with immigration requirements throughout their studies.

Tourist Visas
Tourist visas allow individuals to visit the U.S. for a short time for leisure, medical treatment, or to visit family and friends.
The B-2 Visa is the most common type of visitor visa. While it is a nonimmigrant visa, the application process still requires applicants to prove that their visit is temporary, that they have sufficient funds to cover their stay, and that they intend to return to their home country.
Our firm can help you present a strong application and prepare for your interview to minimize the risk of denial.
